Very clean, very comfortable, friendly staff. Very family friendly atmosphere but also quite enough to use for a business trip. There were quite a few small children including babies when we were there but you wouldn't have known it, never heard a peep. Everyone including guests seemed really chilled, which was probably down to the fact the hotel was so comfortable.

Love that the hotel is right outside the beach and the clacton pier, pavillion fun park and many restaurants, banks and shops like, newlook, peacock etc. Loved how welcoming the staffs are from Becky to Michelle and nicola. They are on hand if you needed assistance with anything. Michelle, thanks for lovely breakfast. She made sure your needs at breakfast are catered for. Thanks for making my 5 year old enjoy her breakfast and the extras you provided for her. It really made her day. Now she calls pier hotel her 2nd home lol. All in all, we had good time staying at pier hotel. A little something to mention, if you book via booking. Com, breakfast isn't included but if you book directly to the hotel, your breakfast will be included. However you can still pay for your breakfast for the duration of your stay for just fiver for a full English breakfast. How fabulous is that. Car parking at the hotel is a little of a problem but we were fortunate to have found one at hotel grounds. However I think there are car parks for paying around the area.

Room was fantastic, bed was really comfy, very central location. Staff really friendly and they do a lovely latte, very reasonably priced.

Friendly member of staff at (only one) the hotel, she was serving at the bar, making breakfast, greeting guests and allocating keys etc.. room was adorable and very clean with plenty of fresh towels and toiletries

I thought the location was ideal ...a stines throw from the beach, bars and restaranuts aswell as the town shops! And yet it was incredibly quiet cosa Orwell road itself isn't a main road. I found the staff to be pleasant friendly and helpful and the decor inside the building was clean and beautifully presented. There is also a lovely roofed outside area with seaviews for people that like to eat or drink outdoors

Hotel in a good location, room spacious & clean with a terrace to sit out on. Bed comfortable, huge bathroom. Quiet at night. Good price.

My husband and myself have been here before. But this time it was a late anniversary celebration. We got to the hotel And booked in and was asked what our plans were so we told them it was a late anniversary celebration. We got showed to our room . And 15 minutes later a knock on the door. The host had brought us a card and balloon and a bottle of champagne 🍾 It was such a lovely gift . I cant find any faults with this place 100% perfect

EVERYTHING!!! Staff were fantastic.. Had a fan in the room which was ideal when the windows closed for the Seagulls in the morning.. Couldn't fault it 😊

We had a lovely stay at the OYO Pier Head Hotel in Clacton-On-Sea. Becky the Manager made us very welcome, the hotel was clean had a lovely atmosphere and breakfast was good. We would stay there again.
